Only one on the Southside of Indy!  Please plan to come to Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's annual Memorial Day Mass and Celebration on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th. Music begins at 8:45 am, with Mass beginning at 9:00 am.  We will pay tribute to the courage of the men and women who have served or are currently serving our country. Military veterans are encouraged to wear uniforms or other military paraphernalia.  There will be candle placement, singing of the National Anthem, the playing of TAPS. Following the ceremony, everyone in invited to move to St. Clare Hall for a small reception and to hear Vice Admiral P. Stephen Stanley speak. See you there!

MEN'S CLUB GOLF OUTING - The Men's Club of Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church are holding their annual Golf Outing on Sunday, June 9, with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm.  The cost is $70/golfer or $280/foursome.  This price includes golf, cart, dinner and prizes.  Non-golfers are invited to come to the dinner.  Their cost will be $10/person and children under age of 10 are free.  Want to help, but you don't golf?  You can sponsor a hole for $100, or you can volunteer at the event!  Proceeds go to the SSFC Athletic Ministry.  For more information, email

Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi will hold three separate GRADUATION CEREMONIES this Spring.  Our Kindergarten class will have graduation on Monday, May 20, at 6:00 pm.  Our Home School students will have a Mass and Graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:00 pm and our Eighth Grade graduation Mass and ceremony will be on Thursday, May 23, beginning at 6:00 pm.  All graduations will take place in church and the 8th grade and Home School students will have receptions in St. Clare Hall immediately after the Masses.

Come join Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's  J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth) Club in a MORNING OF PRAYER on Monday, April 1, with Fr. Joe Moriarty, as he leads us in "God's Unconditional Love Leads to Deep Peace and Lasting JOY".  Please begin the day with our 8:00 am Mass followed by coffee and donuts.  Fr. Joe will begin speaking at 9:00 am.  His talk will be followed with a Pitch-in Soup Luncheon.  Sign-up sheets are at the Information Desk in the Narthex.  Signup early!  There are only 70 seats available and last year's Morning of Prayer was a packed house!

Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church will hold a Taizé Prayer Service on Wednesday evening, March 27th, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Come to this calm candlelit service and experience song, psalms, Scripture and silence as we meditate on the Garden of Gethsemane, Calvary and The Garden Tomb. If you have never been to one, it is a very calming experience. Don't miss out!

Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's School Ministry is holding our second annual GLOW WALK/DANCE on Thursday, March 21st. Information and pledge forms have gone home with our students.  The students will collect pledges and then walk or dance around the gym for an allotted amount of time, surrounded by black lights to make this occasion a joyous and "glowing" event!  Students meeting the minimum donation amount will receive a Glow Tote Package, have their name announced on the school announcements, receive a prize and receive a ticket for a chance at the Grand Prize!  This fundraiser goes to support our School Ministry so please be generous with your pledges.

10 Things a Disciple of Jesus Would Do -- an All-Parish meeting on Evangelization, Wednesday, February 20, from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm in church. Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi's Men's Club is once again hosting it's annual REVERSE RAFFLE on Saturday, February 23 in St. Clare Hall. Cocktails start at 6:30 pm and Dinner will begin at 7:15 am. Tickets are $75.00 for two or $40 for one and includes dinner, beer/wine and soft drinks.  Tickets are available for purchase after weekend Masses or at the door on the evening of the event. The GRAND PRIZE is $2,000, with an additional four $250 cash prizes given out before the drawing begins. Silent Auction items will be offered and 50/50 drawings will occur throughout the evening. Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi School, along with the school and Parish offices, will be closed on Monday, January 21st in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. The Early Childhood Ministry (ECM) will remain open for their normal hours.
