At Saints Francis & Clare of Assisi, our high school ministry programming for 9th-12th graders is crafted to foster a vibrant community where teenagers can explore, grow, and deepen their faith in a supportive environment. Our dynamic programs blend meaningful discussions, spiritual formation, and fun activities to engage young hearts and minds. Through weekly gatherings, small group studies, retreats, and service projects, we provide opportunities for students to connect with God, each other, and the wider world. Our ministry emphasizes personal growth, leadership development, and the exploration of faith questions relevant to the teenage experience. Whether it's through worship nights, mission trips, or social events, we aim to create spaces where high schoolers can authentically encounter God's love and grace, develop lasting friendships, and discover their unique gifts and calling. Our dedicated team of mentors and volunteers are committed to walking alongside our youth, offering guidance, encouragement, and support as they navigate the complexities of adolescence and strive to live out their faith boldly in the world. PROGRAMS OFFERED

Brew Crew (High School Ages)

Looking for a great way to start your morning before school? Brew Crew is a laid-back gathering for high school students that meets at Strange Brew Coffee House (Smith Valley & 135) from 6:00–7:00 AM. 

• Tuesdays: Roncalli students
• Thursdays: Center Grove, homeschool, and students from other schools

We usually take over the back corner of the coffee shop on those mornings! There’s no registration, no commitment to attend every week, and no purchase required — just come when you can. Students are welcome to grab coffee or breakfast on their own, hang out with friends, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere centered on fellowship, prayer, and faith-based discussions and reflections.

All high school students are welcome — including incoming freshmen starting in the summer and recent graduates before they head off to college in the fall. Friends are always encouraged to join too, even if they are not Catholic. This past year, Brew Crew typically welcomed 6–10 students on Tuesdays and 3–5 students on Thursdays. Plans for next year’s schedule will depend on interest and group size this summer.

Transportation is usually flexible, with upperclassmen often helping provide rides to school afterward.

During the school year, Brew Crew follows the school calendar and does not meet over breaks. During the summer, the group meets every couple of weeks at a later morning time — likely Wednesdays around 9 or 10 AM this year. Summer gatherings may also include special outings like service projects, group Mass trips, or visits to local ministries such as food pantries or homeless shelters in Indianapolis.
